The Construction of Pertamina International Street Circuit Mandalika

Pertamina International Street Circuit Mandalika is a construction used for international motorcycle racing and also for regular highways. Construction of the circuit begun on 15 July 2020, the main crosswalk was completed on 15 August 2021, and all construction was completed on 30 September 2021. The first World Superbike race is hosted in November 2021 and the first MotoGP race in March 2022.

This dual-purpose construction has specifications technically higher than ordinary highways, thus requiring good geotechnical construction support. This 4.3 km long circuit is located in the coastal area of ​​Mandalika Lombok, which has a variety of geotechnical conditions along the circuit, such as loose sandy soil with potential for liquefaction, soft clay soil with large settlement potential. The session discusses the efforts to produce geotechnical construction that can support the fulfillment of circuit technical specifications, starting from the geotechnical investigation process, efficient geotechnical construction planning, construction implementation and
quality control carried out to ensure construction according to specifications.

Dwianto was borned in 1978 in Jakarta and completed his Civil Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering at Diponegoro University in 2000, then took Master's Degree in Civil Engineering at Diponegoro University in 2022. Currently serving as Director of Asset Development of PT. Hotel Indonesia Natour, one of the state-
owned tourism companies in Indonesia. Previously served as Director of Construction and Development at PT MGPA Nusantara Jaya - Mandalika Grand Prix Association, Lombok West Nusa Tenggara, which is one of the subsidiary companies of PT Pembangunan Wisata Indonesia (Persero)/ITDC.
