Alin graduated from master degree program at University of Indonesia, majoring Construction Management. With more than 17 years working as a management consultant, and well over 15 years in education sector, Alin is an experienced professional with a proven track record in all phases of technical training. She is a founder of Avenew Group - a management consulting firm. Alin is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP®).
She worked as lecturer at University of Indonesia for 7 years and worked as research assistant at University of Hong Kong. She is also a professional lecturer at Bung Hatta University Padang. Working as consultant, she has been involved in many projects related to infrastructure development, feasibility study, master plan, commercial building development, power plant, etc. She is passionate and dedicated in developing project management community in Indonesia, Alin has published several books in project management and risk management. She also shares her knowledge and experiences by speaking in international seminars.
Tony has 15 years of experience in Project Management in Banking, Insurance, Supply Chain and Logistics industries. He also has an experienced working in startup company, helping to setup the PMO and managed projects for startup launching purposes.
He holds bachelor degree in Information Technology and Masters Degree in Finance & Investment both from Binus University, Indonesia. He is an active volunteer of the Indonesia Chapter.


Bayu holds a Masters degree in Construction Management from University of Indonesia and graduated in 2008. He worked for Lemtek UI and UOB Bank in Personal Financial Services Division before moving to Avenew Group. Currently, he works to develop Avenew Indonesia and Avenew Akademi Inovasi to be a reputable management consulting firm in project, program and portfolio management as well as people development. His passion is in project management and financial engineering.
Bayu obtained his PMP certification in 2012 and PMI-RMP in 2018. He volunteers for PMI Indonesia Chapter since 2013 and served different roles. He was elected to be VP Branch in 2017 and currently serves as VP Treasury. During spare time, he enjoys to travel and trying culinary delicacy different places.
After graduating from Binus University, he has worked for over 16 years as an IT consultant in various fields, healthcare, trading, warehouse management, manufacturing, retail, financial services. David is now a Project Manager at AXA Services Indonesia. When not working or volunteering, he enjoys watching soccer, particularly when Arsenal is playing. David dedicates his time as PMI volunteer serving the chapter, but also mentors many PMP aspirants through the Chapter's Study Group. At the moment he looks after the Chapter's Program, from knowledge sharing to community outreach.


Jerry is a seasoned project practitioner with more than 15 years experience. He was a senior project manager at Nokia, leading IP RAN as part of the 600 millon USD nation wide 4G Implementation in Indonesia and was the head of Project Management at Aero Systems Indonesia (Garuda Indonesia Group). He is currently working as a Program Manager at Cisco Systems and looks after several special/ advance multi million projects/programs spread across Southeast Asian Countries.
Jerry is the Chapter's Vice President Marketing and is responsible for promoting the Chapter, partnering with companies, training centers and eventually bring value to our members. Jerry completed his Masters Degree from Binus Business School and he likes to play soccer and other physical activities, reading and traveling.
Crysanthus has more than 10 years experience working in IT especially in the Finance, Telecom and Supply Chain industries and a decade of experience in project management. He attained his PMP Certification in June 2013. He graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Bachelor's Degree in Computing and Software Engineering. Currently, he is working as Advisor IT Agile Project Management at PT. Telkomsel.
He also has a keen interest in education, especially in project management. Crys is a well known mentor in the PMI Indonesia Chapter Study Group for the past 7 years. He has helped many professionals to attain their PMP.


Arief has worked his 18-year career in 8 different countries in the oil and gas industry. Shortly after graduating from Diponegoro University, he started his early days as an oilfield engineer working in the deserts of Mexico to the cold Caspian Sea. He has taken on various management roles from service delivery, training, and operations management. He currently works as an Integration Project Manager for Schlumberger in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, leading a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team to deliver oil wells to the customer.
Arief holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Binus University. Originally from Semarang, Central Java, he enjoys running and cycling outdoors.
Sigit graduated in Industrial Engineering, with Bachelor Degree from Universitas Islam Indonesia. He pursued his Master's Degree in Strategic Management and graduated from Universitas Indonesia. Sigit also completed a Professional Program from Universitas Gadjah Mada. In project management, He started his carrier as a Project Engineer in the largest inspection company in Indonesia, where he developed as a Project Manager in IT and telecommunication projects. He is also experienced in business and strategic management as well as quality management systems in private companies and government agencies. Sigit has spent more than 15 years in IT governance, software development and telecommunication infrastructure.
He is currently working as Technical Project Manager at eComindo, focused in accelerating digital innovation through enterprise captive and potential market.


Achmad is a believer in the importance of working smarter, and not harder. He is the Chapter's Vice President looking after our Branches. Achmad has worked in Axis Telecom Indonesia as Senior Manager Project Control and as Program Manager at Proadvis Indonesia. He is currently a freelance Project/ Program Manager and a trainer. He graduated in 2002 from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Achmad loves to travel, cycle and to enjoy the culinary delights of Indonesia.

Project Management For Small Projects
What’s a small project? For the purposes of this article, I’ve defined a small project as a project with a budget of less than $30.000 which is generally completed within 2-4 months. Businesses that engage in shorter-term or smaller projects, are generally those that are producing these on a regular basis (my own experience with Island Media is specifically based in digital projects which includes branding, design, development, and advertising). This generally means that often, there are multiple ongoing projects running concurrently – this drives a real need for strong project management. However, historically, project management frameworks have been developed for large scale projects, and while exemplary, it’s not always possible or financially viable to run small projects abiding to the same frameworks.
